Why will it not come on. Can it use regular batteries

Hi,

The camera can use all types of AA batteries, e.g. Carbon, Alkaline, NiMH, Lithium etc it’s just that the Alkaline batteries may last longer than the others except perhaps for the Lithium batteries before they need to be replaced (or recharged in the case of NiMH).

Have you checked that the batteries are inserted in the correct way?

Have you checked that the battery connect terminals in the camera are clean and bright and shiny?

Check that they are exerting enough “tension” on the battery (when the batteries are in) to ensure a good electrical connection i.e. is there a bit of spring in the metal when you gently push it down so that it springs back when released thereby showing that it will push back against the battery when it is inserted.
