Is is possible to upgrade the hard drive to a flash storage drive

I am trying to find out if it is possible to replace my current SDD drive with the newer flash storage drive. I know that the two different types of drives are physically different but I was wondering if there was some sort of device, like a caddy or something along those lines, that would allow me to use the smaller drive in an older machine.

I’ve never seen anything as such and I doubt it exists at all, as from a technical point of view it would be pointless to have a PCIe drive interfacing with a very much slower Sata II port. Although it would be understandable for someone to have a need for a smaller form factor drive, the market just takes in consideration what can yield a return to investment, which would be pretty limited in this case.

@nukos413 - I have to agree with @arbaman here. Your system does not offer any means to run a PCIe drive. It is and always will be a SATA drive and it's only a SATA I (1.5 Gb/s) interface.
