I need to replace the Taptic Engine on my Apple Watch Series 3 Cellular 42mm. Do I need to buy a new force touch gasket or is it possible to reuse the existing one? Also, do I need to buy adhesive to reattach the screen or is the force touch gasket the adhesive?

You’ll likely want to get both. You can’t re-use the adhesive and in the process of opening you may damage to force touch.
Why do you think you need to replace the taptic engine? Something seems off here I haven’t seen one fail yet. Did you get watch wet (back sensor or display fell off) or was the watch serviced at some point?

@danj I’ve taken excellent care of it since Sep 2017. It’s never been opened. The notification taps were working randomly. I thought I might’ve accidentally switched on an accessibility setting. I tried switching to prominent haptics, nothing. Sometimes I force-press and feel the tap, other times I don’t. The taps started getting weaker and weaker. Now if I launch the Breathe app, for example, I can’t feel a thing, but if I hold the watch to my ear I can almost hear the slight tick-tick-tick from the inhale. If I knock on the side of the watch the tapping works briefly (albeit weakly) and then stops again. I’m pretty sure the engine is toast? I have a Taptic Engine on the way, so we’ll see. Thanks for the heads up on the adhesive and force touch gasket. I’ll get both. If there’s anything else you can think of that may be broken from the information I’ve given, please let me know. Would really appreciate the input!
