Ryobi 9056 won't run

When I start my Ryobi 9056 blower (with the choke in the Full position), it stays running\idling at a very high level. As soon as I flip the choke to Half, it shuts off and I am unable to restart. The only way it starts and stays running is it keep it in the Full position. Please help!
