If you are working on short vids then this system will work but it is limited! macOS High Sierra (10.13) is the highest that it will officially support. It supports HEVC (High-Efficiency Video Coding), but it does not support hardware accelerated HEVC which most video editors prefer for larger work.
I think its time to move to a more powerful system. I would recommend going with at least a 2013 model and get a system which has at least a 512 GB blade SSD (1 TB would be better) as well as a large HD or SSHD drive (dual drive config). Upgrade it to at least 16 GB of RAM.

If you don't often edit 4K, you can choose the highest iMac configuration (except hard disk, hard disk should guarantee at least 500G SSD) plus an external hard disk box (the bigger the better, do RAID, choose lightning interface) is enough. If you have CPU-intensive HEVC files to edit on Premier Pro, refer to 'can't import HEVC on Premier Pro".
