Samsung tablet won't charge

So. My samsung galaxy tab 3 that I bought around 4 years ago died 2 years ago, I abandoned it and forgot about it. A year ago I figured it was the battery so bought a new one and a new charging port/mic cable. 2 days after replacing(replacing fixed it) the battery completely depleted and doesn't accept any charge… so I forgot it for another year untill now. I plugged it into a charger at home(it broke during a trip) and it didn't show anything, since the battery is COMPLETELY dead, I waited 5 minutes, tried a bunch of combinations of power and volume buttons, and left it to charge, 10 minutes after that the battery icon was shown empty with a circular sort of reload
