No power(fans,HDD, etc) , no MagSafe light

I have a 2007 MacBook Pro with no power,

(no fans, no HDD, etc) with no MagSafe light, it has no battery but has an 85w charger, I’ve replaced the Left IO board, so what now? Should I get a battery to see if it will boot from it?

I’m always torn when someone tries to get one of these going. This series has its issues, I had two! One 15” & 17”

This is the series had the famous GPU failure: Bad NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GT chips. There’s really nothing you can do to fix this anymore as the good chips have long since be used up and anything you find today is a salvaged chip which just won’t hold up very long. That also included replacement logic boards which is what you likely need here.

Bottom line shed a tear and look for a newer Unibody model .

I have a unibody 2009 MacBook, but I was looking to sell the pro, but the gpu is the replaced model

You originally stated 2007and you selected A1226 & A1260 series.

OK, lets see if we can make sure what you have. Locate your systems serial number on the bottom cover and plug it into here EveryMac - Look up or locate your model from this list EveryMAc - MacBook Pro's

No I mean I already have a newer MacBook, I just wanted to sell the pro machine, it would probably help if it worked, so I was hoping that it wasn’t the logic board and that maybe plugging a battery in would possibly get it to work?

Sorry, I misunderstood.

This system has no monetary value due to the GPU issue and also has a display frame issue. The cost of even trying to get it to work would not be worth it.

If you have a local Apple store or Best Buy they can take it off your hands and properly dispose of it. Given the heavy metals you don't want to throw this into your regular trash.
