What Type of Optical Drive Does It Use?

Hi, I'm about to buy a second-hand Black MacBook Core Duo to replace my PowerBook G4. It's used, and has a non-functional optical drive, but works 100% otherwise. I was wondering what kind of SuperDrive it uses. My Powerbook G4 (17" 1.5Ghz Low-Res) has a PATA 8X superdrive in it, and I was planing on just taking the drive out of there, and putting it in the MacBook. I know that earlier MacBooks use PATA drives as well, so this should be possible. Is this true, or will I need ot buy a new optical drive?

Also, I'm not to familiar with newer (Post-PowerPC) Macs. I'm paying around $300 for this laptop. Is that a decent deal? It also may need a new battery, as it's seller is telling me that it only gets around 2 hours on a full charge.

The laptop specs are:

-2.0Ghz Core Duo

-1GB RAM

-80GB Hard Drive

-OS 10.6 Snow Leopard Installed

It also includes Leopard Restore Disks, and the Charger

Hey Chris, before buying another drive you could open the non-functional drive and clean it. A dirty laser lens could be the cause of the drive failure). $300 is a fair price for this black macbook model.

I haven't recieved the computer yet, but I will try that when I get it. I'm not entirely sure what's wrong with the drive, but I will look into it when I recieve the unit.

Any of these drives will work for you: http://www.ifixit.com/Mac-Parts/MacBook-...

$300 is a good price if all else is working and it's not to beat up.
