128gb logicboard UPGRADE iPhone 6

I have an iPhone 6 (A1549) that is 16gb, I shared the phone with my ex and long story short she used the find my phone app to lock me out of it, and now its basically useless.

I looked into it online and changing the motherboard doesn't seem too complicated.

My question is: I have found several options online for 16gb-32-64-128gb unlocked iphone 6 boards, and the price difference is negligible, $80 for 16gb - $120 for 128gb so I see no reason not to go for the latter, However I wanted to check that this will indeed be compatible with the memory difference? One of the websites had a disclaimer that they are not responsible if I update phone iOS and motherboard becomes incompatible.

Can anyone elaborate on that? Also if someone can confirm that this will solve my problem and also that the memory upgrade will also not be an issue that would be great! Thank you

For all intents and purposes, the logic board IS the phone.

Any capacity logic board will be fine but I'm a little bit skeptical that there is so little price difference between a 16GB version and a 128GB version. I also don't see why the seller would disclaimer future iOS updates either. Check out the iFixit listing here and you will see a $100 price difference. Let's just say my spidey senses are tingling :>).

The thing to be careful of here are iCloud locked boards (which is your current issue). You also want to get a board that comes with it's Home Button so that you can retain TouchID functions. Finally, make sure the board supports whatever cell provider you are on (Verizon, ATT, Sprint etc.).

Yes, I agree about the price difference, I did search for a long time on multiple websites and those were the best prices I could find, from a website that takes them from used phones in China. They seem to have good reviews, but it is always something to be wary of lol. But thank you, that was the info I needed
