MacBook freezing when I press the keyboard hard or lift the unit from
My MacBook freezes if I tap the space bar or anywhere near the bottom of the keyboard.
The same problem occurs if I push on the battery or lift the MacBook from underneath.
Sometimes it refuses to start and beeps 3 times as if the RAM has been improperly installed.
Can anyone recommend what to do? It’s an A1226 with an SSD and 6GB RAM.
Take the battery out and inspect it. Is it laying flat when resting on the desk outside up? If not your battery has failed and you'll need a new one.
