@aundrea follow this guide Samsung Galaxy Tab E 9.6 Wi-Fi Battery Replacement to get to the motherboard. Remove all the ribbon cables from the board. Remove all the screws from the board to get the board out. Also a slightly different tablet, use this guide Samsung Galaxy Tab E Lite 7 Kids Charging Port Replacement to remove the charging port. It is soldered onto the board and will require soldering. Also way overpriced, a replacement port is available at places like this
