The ps3 turns on just fine everything is fine except the dvd drive does not respond to anything, does not pull disk in or even make noises like if its even tyring, laser doesn't move an yea nothing is responding when e it comes to the dvd drive. Any body know whats wrong with it?

Hi!
If your Blu-Ray disc drive is not responding at all, as you suggested, you may need to replace it, or at least disassemble the console to check the connections and the ribbon cables themselves between the motherboard and the drive itself. It would be best to take the old drive out completely and to put it back making sure the connections are secure and firm.
If it does not work now, replace the entire drive using thisguide, especially since the tag of your post is "looks like it may have been dropped before"... Disk drives are sensitive to drops since they contain many moving parts, magnets and optical equipment that can break very easily.
Anyway, you will find replacement parts on the iFixit websiteor if you look on AliExpress, eBay and so on.

I thought maybe but how could the whole dvd drive not work? Cuz the laser has its own ribbon an like 3 other thingsi would think atleast one part should look like its trying to work. I had opened it an checked to see to check what to replace an the wholething just wouldn't respond
But i did reset the gears an took the game out that was stuck in there an try putting it in when the console was in standby an it turned it on but thats all
Yes, but can you hear the disk spinning up after you insert it? This means that the motor is not working. At the same time it could be the laser. Can you try to take off the cover of the drive and see what happens when you put a disk in? If nothing happens you might as well replace the whole drive. But if you can see the laser trying to read the disk, but it's not spinning, replace only the drive motor assembly.
I did open it up an check what happens thats how i know that nothing is responding an i did replace the laser but it still dont move or try reading an the disc dont spin an the whole drive does not move or make any noise at all thats why im confused because there are 4 ribbons connecting to the main board
You disconnect all ribbons that lead to the main board.
