Hi.
Recently my S7 edge rebooted , us you all know ,with samsung you have to put the password to unlock the screen . But weirdly when I put my finger in the password area , the keyboard doesnt show up . Moreover the mobile keep rebooting and heating until loss of all battery epower .
Any clue ?

Well your phone seem to be bricked, if you don't have sensitive data/ will to loose your data, then your hold volume+, home button and power at the sametime and release the power immediately the power comes on, wait to see android logo with options, the use vol-/+ to navigate and power button to select/action and factory reset, note that if frp is on, you need to enter your previous account signed to that enables anti-theft, either google/samsung frp, and in other hand if you can't afford to loose your data then flash 1file firmware, or if 4files just flash the AP/Code.

This happened to my wife's S7 edge phone too, with the phone getting warm and kept rebooting periodically. Here's a couple of things to try without having to perform a factory reset and losing your data.
1. Plug in a USB keyboard (using a Micro USB adapter) to enter your password.
2. Restart the phone in recovery mode and wipe the cache partition
Turn off the device, Press and hold the Volume Up key, Home key, and Power key at the same time, When the phone powers on, the Android System Recovery screen appears approx. 30 seconds later. Release all of the keys. Press the Volume down key to highlight "wipe cache partition." Press the Power key to select. Press the Volume down key to highlight “yes” and press thePower key to select. When the wipe cache partition is complete, “Reboot system now” is highlighted. Press the Power key to restart the device.
3. Plug it into a desktop and attempt to make an "112" emergency call. For some reason, plugging it into a desktop makes a difference.
Option 2 didn't work for me and as I didn't have a Micro USB adapter/keyboard on hand, I tried Option 3 and that finally worked to bring the keyboard back and getting back into the phone.
Once you're back into the phone, look for any 3rd party keyboards that's been installed (e.g. Swiftkey) and remove it. This looks like an issue that when the phone restarts requesting for a password, it's unable to bring up the 3rd party keyboard or switch to the default Samsung keyboard.

I would just add that I lost access to keyboard due to emergency battery saving mode being on. I switched it on in the evening and couldn't switch it off in the morning, because could not bring up the keyboard.
Luckily, when you hold Power button, one of the options is to switch off the emergency mode, and once it's off, you will gain the access to the keyboard again.
I owe you my life. The option number 3,....How the heck could you find out a workaround like that??!?!??!?! I'm flipping right now, it worked. I was about to open my P9 in order to do a disaster after trying absolutelly everything to make my keyboard show up to put the password in my f$%"·$ gmail account after a hard reset. You deserve a megalitic sculpture.
I can't even believe that option 3 worked. It was like a miracle, thank you very much for the information!
None of those options worked. I must have a rare piece of garbage phone

I didn’t have to reset my factory settings or lose any data. I simply had to turn on my phone is safe mode and unistall the Google Keyboard app which was causing the issue.

I used the emergency enable function and was able to access keyboard to access my phone, however once unlocked, keyboard still doesn’t work.

The keyboard on my sons tablet disappeared and I figured out it was caused by his bluetooth speaker being connected. As soon as I shut off the speaker, the keyboard came back.

I encountered the same issue after installing a different keyboard than the Samsung default. When I restarted the phone (Samsung M33), the password required to be entered but there was no keyboard choice. I believe this is because I chose a different keyboard than the default Samsung keyboard earlier. I followed the procedures below to recover the phone without performing a factory reset.
I followed the instructions outlined here.
1) Start the phone in Safe Mode
2) The device reboots with limited functionality in sfae mode, only allowing system programs to run. This enabled me to change the default keyboards to Samsung and remove the third-party keyboard I was using.
3) One the 2nd step is done, restart the phone, and the Samsung keypad should be visible for entering passwords. Everything is normal.
How should the first step be carried out? That is, on the opening screen (Power On Mode), select Safe Mode. Take the actions outlined below.

hi Nabil, how did you solve this issue eventually? I got exact same issue with my S7 edge and have no idea what to do next now. Clearing cache memory task via Volume up + home + power button doesnt help. Thanks.

I have a new REVVL5G..samsung.. so my phone was dying was going over 2 put it on the charger,it was late,was tired,I put it on the charger then went to sleep.I got up,around 5am,went to scroll it up to unlock my phone and my keyboard won't come up so I can do my password 2 unlock my phone,I tried to reboot like few times.. same issue idk what 2 do..
