Hot water heater was replaced and there was air in the pipes. Air lock went into washing machine and now water will not go in. I just hear a clicking noise. No silt in filters. Water supply to wall connection. Hoses not kinked

There's no place in the washer for it to vapor lock except in the hose from the spigot to the washer. I'd disconnect the hot water side, use a bucket and bleed the pipes. Hook it back up. Unplug it for five minutes to allow it to reset. Then hook it all back up and give it a try.
It could also be a "FloodSafe" device to shut off the water in case of a broken hose. They can look like this: http://structuretech1.com/floodsafe-wash...

Water Inlet Valve
The water inlet valve opens to allow water to enter the washing machine. If the water inlet valve is defective, the wash may fill slowly or not fill at all. The water inlet valve requires sufficient water pressure to function properly. First, check the water pressure to determine that it is adequate. If the water pressure is adequate, try cleaning the screens inside the water inlet valve hose connection ports. If the washer still fills slowly, replace the water inlet valve.

Low Water Pressure from House Supply
The home water pressure might be too low. The water inlet valve requires at least 20 psi to function properly. Check the water pressure to the valve to determine if it is sufficient.

All our lights lit normal, but once it calls for water it makes a grunting noise from the top left area.
After checking the inlet pressure and screens on both sides of the hose connections I proceeded to remove the washers top, remove 3 screws on the back, slide the top back and remove.
On the top of the the large plastic box (Dispenser Distribution System), looks like the soap, bleach, softner mixing box, with a motorized controller is a piece that rotates a cam. This was stuck, looks like it had slipped up onto the max stop pin to the left. Once I moved it off the pin it started working normally.
