I get the following message: Please Turn Camera Off

When the camera is turned on I get this message on the LCD: PLEASE TURN CAMERA OFF AND THEN ON AGAIN

My question is this how do I get it fixed and how much would the cost? Also another thing the lens does not close.

The camera is Panasonic Lumix DMC-FX3

Nereida Rivera-Calzada I agree with @danj that this is most likely a lens error ("the lens does not close."). I suggest that you start off by taking a look on here and see if any of that helps. Granted, most of the time it does not and the best thing to do would be a complete lens replacement. Here are the instructions for the disassembly of the camera and the lens. It is not as complicated as it may seem Disassembly Instructions

Most likely your lens is stuck which is why the camera it telling you to turn it off and then on again hoping to clear the fault.

A stuck lens often points to a hard bang or drop. The other possibility is something sticky got onto the lens tube (soda or other surgery drink or food).

We don't do the service, all we do here is help guide you to either fixing your equipment if you feel you have the needed skills and tools or can guide you to the best place to get your equipment serviced.

In this case cameras are a bit tricky! I would recommend you locate the nearest Panasonic repair center by going here: Panasonic Support
