iMac 5k sleep issue after ssd upgrade

Hi I just upgraded my imac's internal hdd to a crucial mx300 750 gb ssd . Before i made the switch I copied all data and made a time machine backup and performed a successful surgery to replace the hdd . Booted up perfectly BUT every time my imac sleeps it either indicates a kernel error or just has a blank screen, and when i go to internet recovery, my drive was always unmounted or erased when i entered disk utility . I have to go through the time machine backup process every freakin time it goes to sleep . Anyone know what this is or how to fix it? Google isnt helping much . Thx

Update (11/24/2016)

Just now it randomly crashed and did the same thing while i was using it so i dont think its just when it sleeps...

Update (11/24/2016)

And again i was using it and it just randomly crashed my open programs and froze . Parts of the screen dissappeared, like the dock and task bar and the rainbow loading wheel just kept going . This is really annoying if anyone can help id really appreciate it .

Update (11/24/2016)

Is there a chance that its the sata cable? Im not sure if my imac has a sata 3(6gb/s) or a 2(3gb/s). Google wont give me an answer and i cant look in my system report right now cuz it shut down but im like 90% sure its a sata III

Your SSD's specs: Crucial mx300

Did you put in the inline thermal sensor from OWC? Also did you use a proper 2.5" to 3.5" adapter frame?

Yes i have an inline thermal sensor in there but i didnt use the proper frame . I rigged my own frame, is that bad? A frame just holds it in place right

No, your SATA interface is SATA III (6.0 Gb/s).

At this point I think you'll need to put the HD back in to see if the system is stable.

One of the risks of not using the proper frame here is the possibility of the drive to hit the display as the tolerances are quite tight if the drive shifts.

As you are going back here I would get the needed frame to mount the drive.

If the system is stable with the original drive I would suspect the SSD you have here has an issue. You may want to talk with Crucial to see if they have any known issues with your system,

The only thing else I can see here is you may have damaged something in the process.
