Why isn't my device receiving a Wi-Fi signal?
I know my blu-ray player is turned on because the power light is showing, but I can't access any online features to my device such as streaming. I have my own Wi-Fi source.
First thing you should check is your Wi-Fi router and connection. Try connecting to the internet on your cell phone, tablet, or smart TV first if you have one to see if your router is working properly. If your Wi-Fi checks out then proceed to restarting your device and go to the network settings through the settings option on the main portal.

I’m having the same problem with my wireless BDP 8550. Works better f plugged into modem.
