wont boot past little square happy face in middle of screen
can you tell me what to do ? i do not have any disks i have tried key combinations etc. it has the start up sound and just goes to the little thing in the middle that smiles at me

Try starting up holding the Shift key down. Hopefully it's an extension conflict. Here's a reference to trouble shooting the problem: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2976
