Hello,
I was playing smash 4 and i dropped it, immediately it shut down. It wont boot up or even show a sign of life, not even a signal that it is charging when i plug it in. I have no clue what happened, not sure what to do on it. Please help me with this, i would really appreciate it. This is about a new 3ds xl.

I think you should replace the battery. That should help!

if it was the battery, it would have shown that it was charging at least for a second when i plugged it in, am i right? But, it doesnt even show that.

Probably not, the battery is cheap. Try the battery first before taking too big steps.

Thanks for trying to help, but, it didn't work. Going to send into Nintendo for them to fix.
the battery is probably loose you can test it just by trying to power the system on with out the battery and if you get the same results try to hold the battery in manually and try to power it on if you still get the same results then i guess you should get an new motherboard and try it like that when it still fails i think your whole 3ds is broken

Also have this problem.
Tested the fuses, they are OK!
Tested battery with multimter, it shows voltage...
Checked screen cracks, they not seem to be there...
what else could causing this problem ?
Should i replace the powerboard ?

I have the same problem. Charge light doesn't come on during charging ( voltmeter testing shows battery is being charged). Battery replaced, no change. Power adapter replaced, no change. Power plugin on motherboard resoldered, no change. Both microfuses, ok.
