water damage please help!

So a few nights ago a glass tipped near my laptop not a lot of water hit the laptop (it was closed but not turned off) it didn't get in the keys or anything just the left side where all the ports are I made a silly mistake of turning it off and then straight on again because not very much water hit it I didn't think it would effect the Mac but when I turned it on the screen was multi coloured with lines across the screen I turned it on and dried it with a blow dryer then put it in a bag of rice its been drying for about 2 days I tried to turn it on and nothing no power and when plugged into a charger there's a green very dim light!! I'm so worried because I know getting it repaired will be so expensive and I'm at school and need the laptop for school anything I can try doing? I'm only young and don't have enough money as my iPhone recently got stolen and had to spend all my money on a new one
