Why is my MBA WiFi connection 3 times slower MacBook Pro

I have both MacBook Air and MacBook Pro side by side.

The Macbook Air is 3 times slower in connecting to the internet than the MacBook Pro.

Any help?

Update (10/24/2015)

I made sure that I am connecting to the same band both of them 5GHz

The only difference i found is that my Macbook Air has Adapter (802.11 a/b/g/n) while my MacBook Pro has Adapter (802.11 a/b/g/n/ac)

Is there a way that I can upgrade the adapter?

You'll need to give us the last four digits of the serial numbers for both systems so we can correctly identify them. Different series of systems offer different abilities, so it is possible your MacBook Air could be slower.

When testing its important to make sure the connection is the same between the systems. If you look at your AirPort Extreme or Internet Routers WiFi settings make sure the AP you trying to connect to is the same between the systems. As an example my AirPort Extreme offers both a 2.4 & 5 GHz band. The 5 GHz band offers more throughput than the 2.4 GHz. But the 2.4 GHz band offers longer distance from the AP than the 5 GHz.

While one can exchange the AirPort card with a different unit. The issue you face here is the number of antennas the different series of AirPort adapters support and what your system has.

The newer board offers MIMO as such it needs two matched antennas. Your current system does not offer the needed antenna's.

I think you'll find going with an external USB WiFi adapter will offer an improvement but still not as fast as your AC MacBook Pro.

The antenna's within the system are the same in size. The frequencies they use defines their size. The number of antenna's the system has is more of a factor. The location within the system are very close to the same (along the displays hinge). One only needs to make sure the orientation to the AP is about the same between the two systems.
