converting it to something

hi guys

i have a totally dead iMac 27 inch and want to do something with it

i don't want to throw it away

is there any ideas to use it for something else.

the power and video have gone bang in a way

want to fit another lcd screen from a similar size monitor and power supply and try to get all the connections working..

A wilted flower is still a wilted flower - Sorry

At this point if you want to save it you'll need to get the correct parts. Trying to connect other odd parts to the system won't really work.

Then the question is, is it worth it? Are you going to get enough to life out it for the expense? I think it's worth it if you can find some used parts. Using new parts maybe close to the point of getting a new system.
