Why is my phone not reading my sim card?
i accidentally put my plastic sim card tray in backwards and when taking it out it bent the metal plate inside my phone....now its not reading my sim card!

i had a similar problem... i phone 2g not recognising sim. took iphone apart to sim tray and carefully pulled gold pins up, reassembled and now reading sim. it's worth a try.

as pollytintop wrote, disassemble the phone and fix the contacts - its not that hard and the phone will work again normally
since nick deleted his crappy answer (again) we can try to start fixing the problem

I see, maybe he won't get caught cheating like you did last month. Pretty poor advice.
just replace the SIM tray and he will be fine
nick - please stop talking crap - you have not the slightest idea what you're talking about and fraud or cheating or whatever you might call it is not ok.
fixing the problem wouldn't be that hard - but giving criminal advises is just plain stupid!
