alarm clock makes a click sound before turning on

My Bush BCR35DABW Digital and FM Clock Radio makes a loud click noise before it turns the alarm/radio on in the morning, making the "gradual volume" feature irrelevant. Is this something that can be DIY fixed ? Thanks

I suspect you are hearing a relay clicking. It might be possible to switch out the relay with a better unit (quieter).

Have you first tried contacting the company to see if they have a problem with the this noise? At least see if they can supply you the circuit diagram and parts listing.
