The device is not turning on after screen cracked and broken

Some years ago i have dropped my phone (Galaxy S i9000) to the ground and obviously the glass was cracked.

The problem is that the phone is not turning on!

I have changed the entire display Super AMOLED but the phone not turn on!

It's died and when i use the mainboard externally with the charger (without is not do anything) i feels that is very very hot but the soft touch keys is turning on... no display, no sound and nothing, only overheating a lot...

Any suggestion? :(

Where does the logic board overheat? Trying a new battery will help with further troubleshooting.

Ok, i have ordered a new original battery (but i'm sure that the battery it's OK) and i will try with this! thanks for the moment

I am not saying it is not okay, but its a guess. The best way of figuring out what is going on with your phone, is to have a good starting point. A new battery will provide this.

I have tested a new battery and the problem is the same, the phone warms and the light of soft touch is flickering and random power on:

I think than is the ARM Process that warm and be very hot, but only if i press the power on button or i plug in usb power....

it's not the battery! the battery not have problems because is outputting the correct voltage and if is the battery, can this cause motherboard overheating? :(

in rare cases it can by either putting out too much or too low, okay so how you tried seeing what part of the board gets hot then see what that chip is and its function?

it's really difficult to understand what warms because hotness expands on all board :( i will check more accuratly this evening, thanks!

i would do this repair because i want recover all my data from flash! :(

I discovered than what warms i thinks is the IC MAX8998... :( How may be broken and how fix it or replace?
