Changing start up Battery in an eMac

eMac 1.25 mhz 1GBram 80GB HD

Is it dangerous to change a start up/PRAM clock battery in an emac? Someone scared me saying there was 100 volts of electricity in there and I want people expert advise before I start. Thank you.
