PS3 makes 3 beeps then shuts off
PS3 makes 3 beeps then shuts off every time I try to turn it on. it does it like 2 seconds after i turn it on with the red light blinking

Sounds like the yellow light of death. Try this. Turn off the console. Unplug it for for a few seconds. Plug it back in. Turn it on.
Now when you push the power button, watch the lights. You should see the lights flash yellow, then blink red. If so, you have the yellow light of death.

When I unplug it and turn it back it's still doing the same thing... I don't see no yellow light flashing
You can have a variation of the error, even if there’s not a yellow light. Imagine this, 2 ps3’s both have broken blu-ray drives. One blinks red and the other blinks yellow. Don’t they still have the same problem?
@ps3fanatic My first thought would be "no". The yellow light of death doesn't mean the light blinks yellow. It "flashes" a yellow light, then constantly blinks red. I've been out of the repair game for a while now, but I don't think you get a blinking light with a broken blu ray drive. The drive has an eye for blu ray and another eye for DVD's. The drive will/could still function with DVD's.

I have this same problem, but no yellow light. It just blinks red all the way until I shut it off. I really need to do a backup and all my save data is on the old, dead ps3’s hdd. When I put the Samsung hdd in my new, GameStop pre-owned Ps3, it wants to format it, obviously. Any help, any rlod fixes?

My ps3 has a loud noise that sometimes its like blowing out air and I have to keep punching it in order to let me play I usually only play GTA 5 then it will sometimes not bring the disk into the game/load . When I keep trying it says check disk or something like that... I check the disk I wipe it off...it keeps saying check disk I even payed 50.00 just for a newer one and it still has a problem...it also beeps 3 times...and the ps3 button off/on blinks red then shuts off...Any help or fixes to help me play my game?

I removed the Hard drive and then the unit powered on ok and reported a problem with no hard drive. I then powered off inserted the hard drive and it started to work fine. It reported a problem with not shutting down properly and did a drive test and now it is working normally.
