Why doesn't my screen rotate?
When I rotate my device into the landscape mode, my screen doesn't rotate with it. I have tried restarting the device and turning it on/off but nothing works. How do I fix this?

Even when you restart the tablet, some settings can remain in the system. To enable screen rotation, access the notification curtain by swiping down from the top of the screen. Touch the screen rotation icon, which looks like a lock encircled by arrows. This will unlock screen rotation and allow the screen to rotate when the tablet rotates. If that does not work, the accelerometer (the interior device that recognizes movement) may be defective. In this case the motherboard will have to be replaced since the accelerometer is embedded in the main circuitry of the tablet. Using the motherboard replacement repair guide for the HP Slate 7, you can see how to replace the motherboard and get your screen functioning properly again.

Is this all possible to be the problem for other devices?
This is simple, there is 1 logic reasons for this , is that maybe you accidentally locked the rotating system(or rotation icon) which can be found in the settings or the notifications area.it will have an x sign or an arrow sing in it, just unlock it by clicking, and here you go , you can enjoy.

If all the above fail then it is possible that the g-sensor IC on the circuit board has malfunctioned. Try download an app for manually rotating the screen?
