Need to find exact same harddrive for my iMac 17", 2.0, 160Gb.
model A1208.
Harddrive: Western Digital
MDL: WD1600JS-40TG20 ( must be exact)
Date: 09 JAN 2007 ( +/- 3 months)
DCM: H88 ACT 2AAN ( must have ACT written)

heh, guys, i think he wants to transplant the elctronic board from working hdd onto the broken one, so broken work again...

i heard, that it can be done, never tried,so i cannot advise...
data buried on the broken HDD must be very valuable, i guess. it would be much cheaper, to just replace the drive...

This unit can use almost any SATA hard drive. It looks like iFixit does not have one listed but may still have one in stock. I would contact them and ask for one. Here's the link: http://www.ifixit.com/Info/contact

palokiller is wright.. The old hdd is broken and need to recover data, for that I need the exactly same mdl. characters on working hdd.

Why do you need the exact hard drive? As mayer said, most SATA drives will work in the computer. You can even get a bigger hard drive for cheaper now.
