I have Heatsink installation concerns

When installing my replacement Motherboard I noticed that the original heatsink was also attached by a type of sealant. Does this need to be replaced with something? If so what all can I use?

Eldon, yes it does, that is most likely the thermal paste. Here is a guide for that. Hope this helps, good luck.
