I re placed the wifi cable on my ipad 2 but the wifi still does not connect. Is there some other fix for this problem other than a simple reset in settings or a restore through itunes?

Depending on which iPad you have, if you will look at the opposite end of the board that the wifi antenna is plugged into. On the opposite end of the board, on the under side of the board there is another antenna plug that I found had came unplugged on my ipad2 gsm.
You can see a photo of it on the ipad 2 teardown s where i believe i saw that at.

Would replacing the speaker assembly help this problem as the wifi antenna screws into it? I'm not sure if the connection would be interruped because of a malfunctioning speaker (although, the speaker seems to be working fine!).
