I bought a bunch of salvages ipads and some don't have an OS on them. So I'd like to know how to reinstall it. Just for future reference I'd like to know how to delete it. I'm sure that it works the same as a computer, and installing the new one overrides the old, but just want to make sure. Thx

Cody, try iTunes. It should recognize them as needing to be restored and reinstall the new IOS software. Here is more info. Hope this helps, good luck.

That didn't fix it. It didn't restore. What else can I try?
Is it seen in iTunes at all when you connect it? the problem may be a little deeper "salvages ipads"

Can you describe what happens when you turn them on. Are you getting any reaction or display?
"do it doesn't connect." I take that as a It does not connect, as in not recognized by your computer or iTunes. Check your dock connector, make sure it is okay, no bend, broken or corroded pins. Try a different cable as well as a different USB port. Does it charge? Follow this and tell us what happens.

recently i had purchased an used ipad which was already synced with an apple id, I tried restoring the ipad now it asks for the previously synced apple id and its password to which I hav no access to. is there a way to reinstall the os to the factory settings so that I can add my apple id to my ipad ??

Without the user ID & password you're stuck. I would return it and get my money back as this unit was likely stolen.
