Motorbike will not start up
You turn the key and the bike will not start up.
Ignition switch flipped off
Check to make sure the ignition switch (the red switch located on the right handle bar) is flipped to the ON position. If it is flipped off, the power for the lights and battery will turn on, but the bike will not turn over or start.
Out of gas
If there is a constant chugging sound coming from the motorbike, check your tank to make sure there is enough gas. If your motorbike is out of gas it will crank the engine, but it will not turn over. Putting more gas into the tank will ideally fix the problem. Premium gas should always be used.
In emergencies, the reserve tank can be accessed using a switch under the gas tank on the left hand side.
Dead/disconnected spark plugs
If the gas tank is not empty and it is still making the constant noise, the spark plugs may be dead or disconnected. Make sure the connection is secure, or replace the spark plugs located on either side of the engine.
Dead/drained battery or disconnected
If the sound from the motorbike slows, the battery is dead/drained or disconnected. If this is the case, the lights will not turn on and the bike engine will not crank or turn over.
Check the wires on the battery (located underneath the seat) and make sure the connection is secure. If the connection is secure and the bike still will not turn on, the battery will need to be replaced.
Starter button broken
If the sound from the motorbike is more of a vibration, the starter may be broken and will have to be replaced.
Lights will not turn on
The engine starts, but the lights will not turn on.
Light bulbs blown
You can tell if the bulb is blown by shaking the bulb. If there is rattling coming from inside the bulb, the filament is broken and the bulb will not work. The bulbs in the headlights or taillights are blown and will need to be replaced.
Disconnected light cables
If the bulbs are not blown and still will not turn on, the cables for the lights may be loose or disconnected. Check the connections on the lights and the battery (located underneath the seat) to make sure they are secure.
Dead/Disconnected Battery
It is also possible that the battery could be dead or disconnected. Check the wires on the battery and make sure the connection is secure. If the connection is secure and the lights still will not turn on, the battery must be replaced.
Losing power
All of a sudden, while the bike is in use, it begins to lose power and shuts off.
Emergency shut off flipped on
Make sure that the emergency shut off switch (located above the ignition on the right handlebar) is in the OFF position. If it is not, flip it to the OFF position.
Engine stalls
If the motorbike is not warm enough, the motorbike will stall out and turn off. If this occurs, turn the bike on and rev the engine keeping the RPMs above 1200. When the motorbike warms up enough, it will ride normally.
Out of gas
If there is a constant chugging sound coming from the motorbike and will not restart, check your tank to make sure there is enough gas. If your motorbike is out of gas, it will crank the engine, but it will not turn over. Putting more gas into the tank will ideally fix the problem. Premium gas should always be used.
In emergencies, the reserve tank can be accessed using a switch under the gas tank on the left hand side.
Pipe flow is obstructed
Using a towel or insulated material, make sure that the exhaust pipe is still attached to the bike. If it is not, it will have to be reattached.
