iPod avoids trashcan

My daughter was given a new Nano ipod 3rd gen but she never used it but left it sit in a drawer for years. The battery was severely dead!

修理

I bought the battery kit but ended up using my trusty Swiss picket knife to open the ipod! I successfully replaced the battery. But all I got was a dim blue display. The menu ring worked but no display -- the blue display never went off. So I opened the logic board again and reinserted the power tape into its place -- very carefully. It works as it should!

アドバイス

When inserting the display power tape be meticulous when putting it in place or some of the teeny wires will make cross connection and the display will not work properly.
