WLAN-Karte wechseln

  • Wenn du willst oder musst, kannst du auch die WLAN-Karte wechseln.

  • Ich weiß allerdings nicht, ob Karten von Drittherstellern kompatibel sind, da HP dafür bekannt ist, seine Laptops für Fremdhardware zu sperren, Festplatten und RAM ausgenommen.

  • Führe zunächst das Opening Tool unter das schwarze Antennenkabel, da wo Kabel und Stecker ineinander übergehen.

  • Sei beim nächsten Schritt sehr vorsichtig, diese Koaxial-Verbindungen sind sehr empfindlich!

  • Drücke mit dem Opening Tool so senkrecht wie möglich nach oben, bis der Stecker sich mit einem leisen Klicken löst. Platziere hierzu wenn nötig beide Hände an je einer Seite des Spudgers.

  • Entferne nun die Schraube(n) mit dem PH0-Schraubenzieher. Die WLAN-Karte kommt dir im 45°-Winkel entgegen.

  • Befolge diese Schritte in umgekehrter Reihenfolge, um die neue Karte einzubauen.

Change WiFi card

If you want or have to, you can also change the WLAN card.

I don't know if third-party cards are compatible though, as HP has a history of locking their laptops to third-party hardware other than hard drives and RAM.

First guide the opening tool under the black antenna cable, where the cable and connector meet.

Be very careful with the next step, these coaxial connections are very delicate!

Use the opening tool to push up as vertically as possible until the connector releases with a soft click. If necessary, place both hands on either side of the spudger.

Now remove the screw(s) with the PH0 screwdriver. The WLAN card comes towards you at a 45° angle.

Follow these steps in reverse order to install the new card.
