The front part can be disconnected without much effort. Just carefully pry open the clamps, using a small piece of plastic or some manual dexterity.

Repeat the previous step for the back part. This step is actually optional, but it may prevent any damage to the plastic if you happen to drop the hardware.

The adapter component is held to the chassis by two small screws. It may feel tempting to remove these and slide the adapter to the back, but doing so will damage the adapter because it is immobilized by a small pin on the bottom-side of the chassis.
