If your Nikon Coolpix P90 camera's flash bulb does not fire correctly, use this guide to replace it. This guide will help your flash bulb fire with ease.
For this guide, you will need the iFixit Opening Tool, a Phillips #000 Screwdriver, and a Soldering Iron 60w Hakko 503F. For more information on where to buy these items, check the "What you need" section. The only special skill required is soldering, so be sure to read the regulations and precautions prior to using.
Before beginning the replacement process, make sure to power off your camera completely by removing the battery and disconnecting from any external power source. Step 1 explains how to do this.

Use your finger to push the latch of the compartment door to the center of the camera body, per image 1.

Push the door open, and remove the existing battery with your fingers, per images 2-3.

Press the button located on the top-right side of the camera's body to open the flash compartment.
