LeapFrog Scribble and Write Speaker Replacement

This guide is for those who are looking to replace their Scribble and Write’s speaker due to muffled or distorted sounds. Familiarity with soldering is necessary in being able to replace the speaker. Please be sure to follow each and every step to avoid mishaps and causing further damage to the toy.

    • Turn your toy over so that the back is facing upward.

    • Using a Phillips #00 screwdriver, unscrew all circled areas.

    • Very carefully, remove the back case to reveal the contents of the toy.

    • Using a Phillips #00 screwdriver, remove the screw highlighted in the image.

    • Un-solder the wiring from the speaker and motherboard.

    • Caution: Be careful when using a soldering iron. Improper usage may result in burns.
