Dell Inspiron 600m LCD Replacement

You will need a Philips screwdriver, an anti-static wrist strap, and a wedge type tool such as a flat-head screwdriver. This guide will walk you through how to replace the LCD screen on your Dell Inspiron 600m.

    • Flip laptop upside down and locate the battery as shown in the images.

    • Push in the tab on the battery and lift up. The battery should detach very easily.

    • Locate the rubber dots on the plastic around the lcd panel.

    • Underneath the rubber dots will be screws. Remove them with the #00 screwdriver.

    • After removing the screws under the rubber dots, use your plastic opening tool to un-clip the plastic around the screen.

    • There are clips about every inch around the right, left, and top of the plastic. Be sure that all of them are unclipped.

    • Underneath the plastic around the edge, there are 2 screws on each side. Remove them with a Philips #00 screwdriver.

    • The middle screw does not need to be removed.
