For anyone who has a 2020 13inch MacBookPro, this can be a little difficult. It took me hours to get it, but I finally found this video and it really helped.
I also got this little cleaning kit from Amazon. Use the star screwdriver and when the guy says use a thin piece of plastic, use the flat edge of the black thingy that isn’t the brush (I feel a little dumb for taking so long to realize what it was for, so humor me and pretend you wouldn’t have known either).

shall I use electric circuit cleaner spray on the fans?
Hey there :) I am actually not quite sure cause I haven't tried that but my initial thought would be that any sort of fluid could cause damage when you can't 'wipe it out' after spraying on something. The liquid could combine with the dust and clog the fan.
why would you lie and say this was easy ?

Is the brush in the Electronics Cleaning Bundle different from the Anti-static brush?
It was a bit fiddly getting the cover off, but did it in the end. Cleaning out the dust has made a big difference to cpu temp!
Thanks for this tutorial. Even without any experience, it was very easy. But when I opened my MacBook Pro 13'' mid 2009 I saw that there was only very little dust inside even though I've been using it for 14 years, also in not very clean conditions, without cleaning it before. Conclusion: Depending on your laptop model, not much dust is getting inside, in which case there won't be a need to clean it for many years, since cleaning also bears a small risk of damaging e.g. the fan.
FYI do this with gloves. The back cover is very sharp on the edges. When I went to the final step to remove it, it sliced about 1/3 of the way through the tips of 2 of my fingers. I ended up at the ER and don’t have sensation anymore in one fingertip, it will probably never come back.

Note that the longer screws go nearer the hinge and the shorter ones only require about 2 rotations. I had to drill one of the screws, because I stripped the head getting it out. Maybe Apple glued it !! Anyway thanks there's enough screws even with one missing. .

Is this process going to void product's warranty? No right? And, Is it fine if I vacuum the dust instead of sweeping it off, and I keep the fan still with my finger? My Mac is 14" 2021 MacBook Pro with M1 Pro.
kann ich das auch bei Mac Book Pro 2021 mit M1 chip machen ? ( 14 inch ) oder nur bei einem älteren ? bei meinem sehr alten Macbook früher hab ich es immer selbst gemacht (das war aber noch sehr robust und dick ) ; aber bei dem neuen trau ich mich nicht so recht . Was ist deins für ein Modell ? sehe es auf dem Foto leider nicht so genau (auch mit Vergrösserung ) ; danke ! :) Michelle
I´m not sure in which language I´m supposed to comment :) Can I do this with my Mac Book Pro 2021 with M1 chip ? (14 inch ) or does this only work with older models ? With my macbook 2 generations back I did clean the fans myself but with the new model I´m a bit scared ....Sadly I can´t make out the model of your macbook on the photo (even though I amplified the photo ) ; any comments on this ? thanks everybody !
