Kenmore Dishwasher Not Draining
I have a Kenmore 66513293K112 dishwasher and it is not draining. I replaced the pump and verified the discharge hose is not blocked. Any ideas on what to check next?
Hi @davery
Can you hear if the drain pump motor is operating when the dishwasher is supposed to be draining?
If not, since you've replaced the pump it could be a problem on the control board or a wiring problem between the control board and the drain pump.
Here's the tech sheet for the dishwasher that may help.
It describes how to enter the service diagnostic mode so that you can check if all the functions of the dishwasher are OK or not. There's also a strip circuit of the drain pump motor operating circuit making it easy to test using a DMM (digital multimeter).
If you find the problem and it's a faulty part that needs replacing here's the parts list that is useful.
Locate the wanted part in the list and note the part number that is shown for it. Search online for the part number only to find suppliers that suit you best.

Thanks for the insight. I ran the diagnostic, but am unsure how to access error codes. My model does not have a screen, but there are no lights on when the diagnostic mode is complete. Does the dishwasher store these codes? if so, how do I access them?
So during the diagnostic test did the dishwasher stop and the Clean LED turn on and stay on for or flash at all before moving onto the next function or did it go through the complete cycle OK without any LEDs?
I did enter the diagnostic sequence and all the LED's came on. I shut the door, waited about 5 seconds and reopened the door. On the "Complete" LED there were three cycles of 6 flashes and 4 flashes, then 9 flashes and 1 flash, then 8 flashes and 2 flashes, then again 8 flashes and 2 flashes and finally 10 flashes and 1 flash. I had to shut the door after each cycle to go to the next cycle. Are these stored codes? I shut the door and opened again and "Normal Wash" and "High Temp" LED was flashing. It then went through a series of oscillations between 1 Hour Wash/High Temp and Normal Wash/Heated Dry sequences with a solid LED. This happened about 4 times of different lengths. I could hear water in the dishwasher being moved around. During this time I would open the door about every 20-30 seconds. After this stopped, it started the "Complete" LED flashing again. 10 flashes/2 flashed, then 8 flashes/2 flashes, then it off. It did not discharge the water. Hopefully someone can tell me what all this means.
There's a table showing the error codes in the tech sheet.
6:4 = float switch problem
9:1 = diverter problem
8:2 = drain problem
Perhaps check if the float switch is OK first, then the diverter
