The Kenmore 110 Series is an easy to use home Washing machine created by Kenmore.

Washer makes a cycling noise when not in use.

After finishing a wash cycle and removing the clothes the machine sounds like it is attempting to cycle yet the tub is not moving. Start/pause button unresponsive and no lights are on. Unplugged to stop the noise. Plug it back in and the noise starts again with no lights and unresponsive start button. Tried reset and get no response. It is a Kenmore top loading high efficiency washer, model #110.20362813

Please edit your question or add a comment listing the model number of your washer. Sears doesn't make any of their appliances and they sell hundreds of different models and manufacturers under the 110 Series label. The only way we can tell anything about yours is with the model number, so it's essential we know that in order to help.

Hi @dadakota

Here's a tech sheet that is applicable to your washer model.

Check if the Diagnostic LED on the control board is On or Off - see p.2

If it is On, follow the procedure to activate the Service Diagnostic Test mode. - see p.2

If it is Off, perform TEST #1: Main Control, - see p.12.

If you can't active the diagnostic tests go to Unsuccessful Entry - see p.3

If you find the problem and it's due to a faulty part that needs replacing, here's the parts list that is useful.

Locate the wanted part in the list and note the part number that is shown for it. Search online for the part number only to find suppliers that suit you best.

If you search on YouTube for (insert wanted part number) replacement, sometimes if you're lucky you'll find videos showing how to remove/replace the part in the machine.
