Bramd new Canon G600 ptrinter cannot get pront cartridges to fit

This is a printer straight of its box. All orange tape ras been removed and iny bottles filled.
However I cannot get the L & R .print heads to click in despite rearing the manual so therefore the print cover won't shut!
