Will not connect to WiFi whatsoever

Tried to change phone over to mint mobile and it will not connect to WiFi at all so I cannot download the e-sim.

I have changed all 3 antennas correctly and still connect to WiFi so the phone is essentially a paperweight. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Hi @swhitelaw

Does the phone detect WiFi networks but can't connect to them or doesn't even detect WiFi networks at all?

If it detects but doesn't connect, have you tried starting the phone in safe mode to see if it connects at all?

It does not detect Wi-Fi at all.

Does Bluetooth work OK?

BT and WiFi 2.4GHz use the same antennas so if BT works it's not an antenna problem

さんによる

Yes, before we factory reset the phone Bluetooth was working just fine. 5G capability was working as well.

@swhitelaw

Is BT working now?

Different antennas are used for GSM frequencies

Logic Board Damage: The Wi-Fi module is integrated into the phone's main logic board (motherboard). If there's damage to the Wi-Fi chip itself, or the solder connections to it, replacing antennas won't help. This can happen from drops, liquid damage, or manufacturing defects. If a factory reset doesn't bring Wi-Fi back, and you've confirmed all antenna connections are flawless, the most probable culprit is the Wi-Fi chip on the main logic board.

Is there a way to replace the Wi-Fi chip itself? Or do I need to replace the entire motherboard? We are just trying to explore every avenue before deciding to give up on this phone.
