Flooded iPad 10th gen

It won't turn on. I don't think I can charge it. Everything worked perfectly well until the day my girl flooded it. Local repair service said that it won't work again, but i still have hope. Can you help me?

Water damage can be brutal, so Every time you try to power it on or plug it in, you risk short-circuiting components. If it's already been attempted multiple times post-flooding, the damage may be more severe. You have to dry it for 3-5 days, after at least 3–5 days of drying:

  • Try turning it on without charging.
  • Then try plugging it into a known working charger and cable — look for any flicker, vibration, screen backlight, etc.
  • Try connecting it to a computer with iTunes or Finder (on Mac). If the iPad is recognized but the screen is dead, there’s hope for data recovery.

Data Recovery Options that you have-

If nothing works, you have three possibilities:

Board-level repair specialists: Look for someone who does micro-soldering and water damage recovery. Regular repair shops often give up prematurely.

Send it to a professional data recovery service. They may be able to recover your files/photos if the internal storage chip is intact.

Apple support: Apple won’t repair water damage under warranty, but they may offer a replacement with a fee. They also can’t help recover data unless you had an iCloud backup.
