Removing and putting back iPhone screen without power off.

I did not take extra care and kept removing and putting back the screen assembly of an iPhone 11 Pro. At some point the screen died, but the phone was still giving vibrations. But now, I cant even hear sounds from the phone despite charging. I heard doing this can indeed destroy the screen, but then it could have caused short circuit in my phone too?
