How to factory reset if I forgot pin

Here's an article from HMD that describes the procedure to hard reset (aka factory reset) their phones using the hardware buttons.

Two things to be aware of, if you do this:

1.) All your personal data stored on the phone will be erased by the reset. The phone will be restored to its original factory condition.

2.) What they don't mention in the procedure is that if there is a Google account associated with the phone, is that when the hard reset has been completed, unless you know the user ID and password for the account, you will not be able to enter the phone to set it up again. This is due to the Android FRP lock (Factory Reset Protection) being enabled by the hard reset.
