How to repair a battery cover.
I would like to repair the battery cover on my keyboard, either by making my own or finding a replacement. Or how do I make one myself?

Do you have access to a small metal cutting lathe? You will need some rod stock which is slightly larger than the OD of the battery opening. Using the lathe you can shape the rod down emulating what Apple produced. Instead of the coin slot I would create a sizable tang which you can grasp with your fingers.
But you may just find a junker keyboard to acquire the cap or just get a replacement keyboard as these keyboards are quite common and cheap.
