DUALSHOCKシリーズ後継の第4世代Sony PlayStation 5 DualSenseコントローラーの修理ガイド、分解、トラブルシューティング情報。 型番はCFI-ZCT1W、マザーボードモデルはBDM-040です。

Since replacing thumbsticks, my Bluetooth range is practically zero.

I recently installed some replacement hall effect thumbsticks into my V4 controller. Since I did the replacement, the bluetooth range has gone to almost nothing - it won't connect to the PS5 and only my Mac will see if if I rest the controller literally on the laptop. As soon as I move it away, it stops working.

I've clearly broken something. Do these controller have an antenna for the bluetooth? If so where is it on the motherboard. I'm wondering if I broke a connection or two.

Any help much appreciated :).

I found the solution here: https://www.reddit.com/r/consolerepair/c.... I had the component missing pictured which is odd as that is nowhere near the part I was working on. I wonder if that particular component is prone to falling off. Anyway I believe it is a resistor, not a capacitor, it's blue not brown like a capacitor nor is it black or grey like an inductor. I bridged the gap using some carbon contact paint which would introduce a bit of resistance and so far it appears to have worked, I have bluetooth range again!

That is very good to know just in case i need to replace with hals in future and accident like yours happens.

So you basically just capped capacitor/resistor spot with some soldering. Shouldnt cause too much of an issue
