Need a battery that the computer will rcoginize

I need a replacement battery that the computer will recoginize.

Tried 3 different batteries but they won't charge or run the computer.

Is an original HP battery needed?

What is the complete model number as shown on the product information label on the bottom of the laptop?

Does the laptop indicate that the battery is charging or that the AC power is connected when the charger is connected?
